COACHING AND PRACTICE

Ward Road Gym

 

Ward Road Gym has been the hub of table tennis in the region for decades. Almost all of the regional tournaments take place here and it has the facilities to match. We have players of all abilities, nationalities, and backgrounds. Above all, it is a very friendly place to be.

 

Your first practice session at WRG is free.  After that, most sessions cost £4 per person, payable on arrival, except Thursday which is £5 if it includes coaching.

 

Mondays: 7-9 pm - general practice, all welcome.

Tuesdays: 7-10pm - reserved for league and cup matches

 

Wednesdays: 9.30am-12.30pm – Active & Healthy (Over-50’s) general play and social

 

Thursdays: 6-8pm - Coaching night for beginners/intermediate/advanced – all ages welcome

                       

Fridays:    10am-12noon – Active & Healthy (Over-50’s) general play and social

 

                                                                                                                          

Forthill Sports Centre – Broughty Ferry

 

A slightly smaller venue than Ward Road, but the largest club in the region with a great history of success. Sessions are delivered by club coach Grant Williams and David Sim (both 1st Division players) and cover various age groups.

 

Sunday: 6-7pm - under 16s; 7-8pm - adults and league playing youngsters
